Heaven On Vaal provides self catering accommodation in Vaal Oewer, on the banks of the Vaal River in Gauteng. Retreat to the tranquility of nature where the cry of the fish eagle wakes you to an awesome sunrise. Treat yourself to a memorable, peaceful weekend on the banks of the Vaal River, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in the comfort of our self catering apartments. Each unit has a view of the Vaal River & their own braai on their balcony. Enjoy a dip in the pool overlooking the river. Our self catering accommodation consists: In each kitchen we have a microwave; kettle, toaster, large fridge and a two plate mini oven. All cutlery, crockery and bedding are supplied. All self catering units are partially serviced and have overhead fans and heaters. Remember to bring milk, dishwashing liquid, dishcloths, toilet rolls, toiletries, charcoal & fire starters for your braai as well as your food. Bring sun block cream in the summer. Please bring your gas lamps for night fishing. We have 7 self catering accommodation units and capable of accommodating 31 people. Party Cruise: Heaven on Vaal in Vaal Oewer is able to accommodate all cruises or tailor-make a specific cruise to suit your personal needs. We host +- 1½ hours cruises, accommodating between 12 - 22 guests per cruise. Do your own cruise in your boat and watch the fish jumping, birds roosting, legavaans sunning on the rocks or swimming by, monkeys, rock rabbits and the odd Kudu. Launching fees apply & all necessary documents to be copied & brought with eg. Skippers licence, craft worthiness.

Kedu Lodge and Toscan River Estate on the Vaal River is a piece of heaven. We are a holiday resort located on the banks of the Vaal River in Lindequesdrift, just 45 minutes from Johannesburg. Our accommodation comprises of Wooden cabins nestled among trees in a peaceful and tranquil environment with great fishing and fun for the whole family. Each cabin has their own bathroom consisting of a toilet, basin and shower. There is complimentary tea and coffee in the cabins as well as a hair dryer and alarm clock. All cabins are non-smoking. Bedding and bath towels are provided (please bring your own swimming towels). Our onsite restaurant will take care of all your meal requirements, however braai facilities are available throughout the resort should guests wish to "do their own thing". If you prefer camping we have 10 caravan sites all with a Vaal River view. Being situated on the Vaal ensure that fishing is always on the go. You'll never need to walk more than a few yards to get your fishing "fix". We're also family oriented with all manner of things to keep the kids occupied, such as: Canoeing, Jumping Castle, Water Slide, Swimming Pool, Volleyball Court, Pool table & Dartboard.

Halfway between Vanderbijlpark and Parys you will find the picturesque town of Vaaloewer. The town which is 80km from Johannesburg lies next to the Vaal River. The residents of this beautiful part of the world are wonderful, relaxed and accommodating. Vaaloewer is a town where people choose to spend weekends and holidays just relaxing, it's perfect for taking a well-deserved break in a safe country village atmosphere. Despite this country village feel the town is also within easy reach of Sasolburg, Vereeniging, Potchefstroom, Fochville, Carletonville and Pretoria.

Although the town is located on the Vaal River, the rivers access is controlled by way of servitudes over riverfront properties. The town is also home to the Goose Bay Canyon Recreation and Power Boat Club which has facilities such as slipway, jetties, a swimming pool, ablutions and a lawned picnic area.
